The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan

This is my Vines and Spines May book. It's a true story about a woman who is diagnosed with breast cancer in her 30s with a husband and two young children at home. Her dad is also diagnosed with cancer, for the third time, during her treatment. I really like her writing style. It was a quick, easy read and I even went to her website to see if Greenie is still alive (he is!). Many people are affected by cancer during the course of their lives, so I found myself thinking about the people in my family who have dealt with the disease and came back to the book wanting more, along with a happy ending. Kelly is a strong woman, and talented writer.
